ATAL TINKERING LABORATORY

Atal Innovative Mission, an initiative by NITI AAYOG. Government of India had invited applications from schools from all over India to establish Atal Tinkering Laboratory to provide a platform where innovative ideas are generated. A team of students from Somalwar High School, Ramdaspeth, under the guidance of Science faculty, participated in the Innovation Challenge at Pune with the selected problem "Air Pollution caused by Traffic" and gave a solution using "Negative Ion Generator". The school was selected amongst 500 schools in India and has received, the honour of being one of the two schools selected from Nagpur.

NITI AAYOG has sanctioned a grant of Rs. 20 lakhs for the establishment of ATL. The Lab was formally Inaugurated in Nov'17 with a Tinkering Marathon. This Laboratory will benefit the students of other schools in vicinity also.
